I noticed something weird today. For some reason, a couple weeks ago I had this impression that my sleep was getting better.

Now that I’m looking at the data, I can’t find anything to support that belief.

I’m curious if it’s because September 9th through the 15th was my first stretch in a while where I didn’t drop below 4 hours of sleep. That doesn’t seem likely to me, but I can’t see any other pattern that would explain that.

In any case, I recently tried another set of sleep supplements including melatonin, L-theanine, and L-5-hydroxytryptophan. Again, it doesn’t seem to have changed much with regards to my sleep.

Recently I’ve talked to several people about the possibility of trying anti-depressants, and see if that also cleans my sleep up a bit. I’m still doing my research and I want to get a couple more medical opinions before I decide to take those on, though.

  1. Interesting! I noticed my sleep has gotten much better since the weather cooled down quite a bit. What app do you use to track your sleep?
