Rationalization

Yesterday, I was reflecting on how good I am at rationalizing my decisions.

I avoided taking certain actions because I had my reasons. And they were good reasons.

But then I realized that I had other options that would let me both take those actions and address those reasons.

I’m curious how often I hold myself back because I’m being logical when really I’m just rationalizing my laziness/comfort/inaction.

And now I’ve got to stop listening to myself when I try to rationalize against fulfilling on my commitments.
