I recently wrapped up a seminar series based on the idea of causing miracles.
I think the main thing I learned conceptually was that we don’t experience the world as amazing, beautiful, connected, etc. because we don’t experience the world as it is. Rather, we experience the world as we perceive it, and we assume our thoughts are always true.
I think the biggest miracle I produced was a realization about my relationship.
For the longest time, I thought that I was the main person working towards improving our relationship. Obviously, I knew everything I was doing to try to improve it, and I couldn’t see anything that Alex was doing.
But recently, we went on a trip to Kelowna. And on the way back, and after the trip, we had some conversations where I discovered that I was just blind to everything he was trying to improve our relationship.
Becoming aware of this was a pretty big miracle for me, and it makes me a lot more positive about our relationship knowing that.
